Raffael Baur

Raffael Baur is an architect and researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC) within the Architecture Department (IA) and the ALICE research group. His work focuses on sustainable and circular construction systems, material innovation, and the intersection of craft history with architectural fabrication. Key research areas include timber construction, folded sheet metal, and textile-reinforced concrete (TRC), often involving experimental prototypes and pedagogical collaboration.
