Rafel Cladera Bohigas

Rafel Cladera Bohigas, Associate Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), holds dual appointments in the Department of Business Economics and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Construction. Born in 1972 in Palma (Mallorca), he earned his Industrial Engineering degree from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a master's degree in European and International Business Management from a joint program between the University of Deusto (Bilbao) and Audencia School of Business (Nantes, France). He has also taught at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (Germany).

Rafel's research and teaching focus on thermodynamic engineering, production management, and building installations. He has contributed to courses such as "Ingeniería Termoenergética" (2021-2025) and "Instalaciones I/II" for Construction and Agro-industrial Engineering degrees. His private-sector experience includes leadership roles in energy and building automation equipment manufacturing and installation in Mallorca and internationally.

A polyglot with language expertise in German (C2), English (C1), French (B2+), Catalan (C2), and Spanish, Rafel collaborates with the Laboratory of the Architectural Constructions Group. Tutoring requires prior appointment via coordination with his office.
