Rafael Ramos Nogales

Rafael Ramos Nogales is a Full Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Girona since 1995, with a focus on medieval and early modern literary history. He has been qualified as a Professor since 2011 and continues to hold this position as of 2020.

• PhD in Philology (Hispanic Philology) from the University of Salamanca (1993)
• Graduated in Philosophy and Letters (Hispanic Philology) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1989)

His research centers on:

• Fictional prose and lyrical poetry in Spain (13th-17th centuries)
• New Baroque comedy
• Textual and ecdotic criticism
• Documentary studies of literary traditions
• Reception and diffusion of classical texts
