Rafał Dutkiewicz

Rafał Dutkiewicz is Professor in the Department of Evolutionary Biochemistry at the University of Gdańsk's Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology. His research examines iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis mechanisms in proteins, focusing on the roles of chaperone systems in cluster assembly and transfer. His work has revealed fundamental processes in mitochondrial Fe-S protein maturation and characterized interactions between key proteins in cluster biosynthesis pathways. Recent publications explore ISC machinery mechanisms and chaperone functions in metalloprotein biogenesis.
