Rae Yule Kim is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Montclair State University's Feliciano School of Business. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Rutgers University, an MS in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Politics from the University of Bristol. His research focuses on digital marketing strategies, consumer decision-making under uncertainty, human-robot interaction, and the impact of technology on consumer behavior. Dr. Kim has contributed to prestigious journals like IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Communications of the ACM, and The Cambridge Handbook of Cyber Behavior.
His research collaborations include advising international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Union. Notable awards include the Excellence in Scholarship Award (2021) and Top 0.5% Scholar in Engineering Management (2024). He has served as an academic editor for PLOS ONE and has consulted for firms like AGIBOT, KACO New Energy, and Latina Surge National on topics ranging from DEI strategies to AI applications in human-robot interaction.
Dr. Kim's work bridges technology and human behavior, exploring themes like social signals in technology adoption, online review dynamics, and the role of anthropomorphism in robotics. His recent studies address the Fifth Wave of industrial revolution, gender equity in IT careers, and the psychological impact of crowds on humanoid perception.
