Radosław Jankowski

Dr. Eng. Radosław Jankowski is an academic staff member at Poznań University of Technology, working within the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy at the Institute of Thermal Power Engineering. Dr. Jankowski's research interests center on combustion of non-standard gaseous fuels with particular emphasis on power equipment combustion processes. His work spans broadly understood thermal energy, thermal processing of biomass and waste fuels including pyrolysis and gasification processes, and processes limiting emissions of harmful compounds in energy utilization of gaseous and solid fuels. His recent research has increasingly focused on hydrogen-enriched combustion, ammonia combustion technologies, and low-emission combustion methods for alternative fuels.

His work demonstrates expertise in both fundamental combustion science and practical industrial applications, with significant contributions to gas turbine systems, boiler technology, and emission control strategies. Dr. Jankowski serves as principal investigator for multiple research projects including INNOTECH projects focused on low-emission combustion technology for gaseous fuels containing higher hydrocarbons and nitrogen compounds. His industrial collaborations include work with Energa Elektrownie Ostrołęka and Alstom Ltd. He also supervises doctoral students, with Rafał Goraj completing a dissertation on wind farm location analysis in 2024.

His industrial experience is extensive, having worked with ICS Industrial Combustion Systems since 2011 and previously with APAG Industrial Gas Installations (2005-2011). He has implemented numerous combustion system modernizations for steam boilers at various industrial sites, focusing on zonal volumetric combustion of natural gas and low-calorie gases.
