Radhika Lahiri

Radhika Lahiri is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics & Finance, Faculty of Business & Law at QUT. She joined QUT in 2001 and holds a PhD from Southern Methodist University (1997). Her research focuses on macroeconomics and development economics, particularly technology adoption, inequality, human capital, trade agreements like NAFTA, urbanization, and environmental implications. She teaches courses such as Game Theory, Contemporary Macroeconomic Theory, and Development Economics. Lahiri has received teaching awards including the Vice-Chancellor's Performance Award (2015) and QUT Business School Recognition Award (2019). She actively contributes to academic leadership as an Associate Editor of Economic Papers and Executive Director of the Women in Economics Network. Her recent publications explore topics ranging from microfinance sustainability in India to urbanization's environmental impact.

Her research spans theoretical and empirical analyses of development challenges, with a focus on policy-relevant outcomes. She has supervised PhD theses on energy, health, and technology adoption. Professional memberships include the Western Economics Association International and the Australasian Public Choice Network.
