معرفی
Rachid Deriche is a Research Professor and Research Director at Inria Sophia Antipolis, leading the Athena research project focused on computational imaging of the Central Nervous System. His work bridges image processing, computer vision, and neuro-imaging, with a current emphasis on computational brain connectomics using AI and machine learning. He has received prestigious awards including the EURASIP Fellow (2019), an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Sherbrooke (2014), and the Grand Prize of the EADS Corporate Foundation (2013).
His ERC-funded project 'Computational Brain Connectivity Mapping' aims to reconstruct neural networks for insights into brain architecture and neurodegenerative diseases. He has also contributed to education through mentorship, as recognized by his honorary doctorate.
- Grants: ERC Grant for Computational Brain Connectivity Mapping (2016).
- Labs/Teams: Athena Team at Inria, focusing on computational neuroscience and medical imaging.
