Rachel Thomas

Rachel Thomas is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences at the University of the West of England. She specializes in physiotherapy, health promotion, and management of long-term conditions, with particular expertise in musculoskeletal disorders in primary care.

• Qualifications: PG Cert (HE), BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP)

Her research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness and cost of First Contact Physiotherapy through the FRONTIER study. She leads modules on Health and Wellbeing across the Lifespan (Level 2) and Long Term Conditions: Effective Collaborative Working (Level 3). Rachel combines clinical experience (5 years) with academic and research roles, including contributions to qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
