Rachel Teodorini

Rachel Teodorini is a Lecturer in Psychology at London South Bank University, affiliated with the Brain Mind and Behaviour Group (BMBG) and the Nicotine, Tobacco, and Vaping (NTV) Research Group. She teaches modules in Cognitive Psychology, Biological Psychology, Psychopharmacology, and Research Methods, with a focus on topics like neuropsychology, emotional regulation, and critical thinking.

• Education: BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine (2002), followed by a distinction-level psychology degree and PhD in Psychopharmacology at LSBU.

Research interests revolve around psychopharmacology and cognitive enhancement, particularly the off-prescription use of drugs like modafinil and methylphenidate. Her work explores perceived cognitive performance, risk-benefit analysis, and behavioral impacts of stimulant misuse. She also investigates cross-domain expectations in music and social decision-making, linking cognitive processes to broader psychological frameworks.

Recent publications include studies on modafinil/methylphenidate usage, loss of control eating in impulsive populations, and psychological assessment tools. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being, emphasizing responsible consumption and mental health advocacy.
