معرفی
Rachel Schwab is an Assistant Research Professor at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR), part of the Health Policy Institute at Georgetown University. Her work focuses on the impact of state and federal policies on private health insurance, coverage quality, and access to care, with particular attention to state-based health insurance exchanges.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of health policy and insurance regulation. She investigates how policy changes affect coverage options and consumer access, especially through marketplace reforms. Her background includes significant research on reproductive health care and family planning access, contributing to a broader understanding of health equity and service delivery.
Rachel has previously held research positions at the Guttmacher Institute and the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she studied reproductive health policy and service provision. These experiences inform her current work on health insurance reforms and regulatory impacts.
She is actively engaged in policy-relevant research and contributes to public discourse through the CHIRblog and other outreach platforms. Her institutional affiliation with Georgetown University’s Health Policy Institute places her within a leading center for health policy analysis and consultation.
