Rachel Maloney is a Lecturer and Technical Instructor in Photography at the School of Art and Media, University of Brighton. She combines experimental analogue photography and filmmaking with family archives to re-examine women's domestic histories through creative practice.

Research Focus:
Her practice-led work explores domestic artefacts and Victorian photographic archives to reconstruct marginalized female narratives. Key projects include The Matriarchive (2021), which utilized V&A Museum collections and participatory workshops to investigate gendered domestic memory.
Scientific Contributions:
Recent outputs examine creative archival methodologies and family photograph manipulation. Her 2021 fellowship work established frameworks for collaborative dialogue about domestic life through photography.
