Winckler’s publications span 15+ years, focusing on photographers in exile, visual resistance, and archival reactivation. Recent works include a 2025 chapter on Edith Tudor-Hart’s social photography and a 2024 chapter on Wolf Suschitzky’s Contact Books.
She co-supervises PhD students at Brighton and Salzburg, including Techne and AHRC-funded projects, and has led the MA Digital Media, Culture & Society program (2019-2022). Her teaching emphasizes critical pedagogy and participatory media, with modules on Visual Methods and Professional Practice.
