Rachel Landy is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University), where she teaches contracts and copyright law. Her research explores how contracting practices influence innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Prior to academia, she worked as a technology transactions attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Cooley LLP, advising startups on IP licensing and M&A, and led YouTube’s global music policy at Google.
- Education: Bachelor of Music (NYU), J.D. (UCLA School of Law)
Her legal scholarship appears in journals like Boston University Law Review and U.C. Davis Law Review, with a book on relationship-driven transactional lawyering. While her recent work focuses on corporate exits and music copyright, her Google Scholar profile reveals prior contributions to immunology (e.g., T cell responses, tumor microenvironment) and oncology (e.g., PDGFR-α activation, chemoresistance mechanisms). The dual focus suggests interdisciplinary expertise across law and biomedical research.
