Gary Myers is the Earl F. Nelson Professor of Law at the University of Missouri School of Law, where he previously served as Dean from 2012 to 2016. An elected member of the American Law Institute, his career includes visiting professorships at William & Mary, Tulane University, and Loyola University New Orleans, along with prior academic leadership as Associate Dean for Research at the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Myers has authored six major legal textbooks and casebooks, including multiple editions of Intellectual Property: Cases & Materials and Entertainment, Media and the Law. His articles demonstrate consistent focus on IP boundaries across diverse contexts—from parody in trademark law to antitrust implications in patent licensing.
