Rachel Kessel is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University's Faculty of Law with expertise spanning criminal law, legal technology, and innovative pedagogy. Drawing from her practice background at the Office of Public Prosecutions and Arnold Bloch Leibler, she designs student-centered curricula that bridge legal theory and real-world application through courses like Legal Tech Studio and Dimensions in Digital Technology.
Research Focus: Her work pioneers AI-integrated tutoring systems and blockchain applications in legal education while addressing human rights in closed environments and gender equity. She employs therapeutic jurisprudence and legal design frameworks to develop human-centered learning experiences responsive to evolving legal practice demands.
