Rachel Davies is an award-winning filmmaker and Senior Lecturer at Kingston University's Department of Graphic Design, specializing in interdisciplinary creative collaboration and embodied film practice with over 30 years of experience. Her work spans creative documentary, immersive installations, and dance-theatre collaborations, commissioned by institutions like Channel 4, BBC, and Arts Council England. Davies leads R&D Studio, producing innovative projects at the intersection of art and social engagement.
Her research explores human-centered moving image for wellbeing, site-specific screen-based art, and community film. Recent projects include Winter. (a documentary on terminal illness) and A Small Dream: Dorset (international projection-mapping collaboration). Davies holds an MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art and BA in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University.
