Rachael Parvin

Rachael Parvin serves as Head of Centre & Woodwinds at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton, a position she has held since September 2014. She is actively engaged in teaching saxophone, clarinet, and piano, both privately and in schools, while also pursuing freelance performance opportunities.

Her pedagogical expertise spans music education and woodwind performance, emphasizing saxophone and clarinet instruction. Rachael has collaborated with professional orchestras and ensembles, including The Big Idea, Astrea, and Mass Producers, and contributed to TV soundtracks like BBC1’s Maisie Raine.

She has held leadership roles in the Musicians’ Union (MU), serving on its Education Section Committee (2013–2020) and Executive Committee (2018–2022), and acts as a Designated Safeguarding Lead at GYA Taunton. Additionally, she is a Trustee of the Ronald Tickner Educational Trust, supporting young pianists and organists in Somerset.
