Tim Lowe

Tim Lowe is a Cello Tutor (Strings) and Chamber Music Coach at the Guildhall School. He maintains an active career as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, performing in major venues like Wigmore Hall and collaborating with orchestras such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and English Chamber Orchestra. Educated at Eton College as a Major Music scholar, he further studied with Louise Hopkins at the Guildhall School.

His awards include recognitions from the Kirckman Concert Society, Tillett Trust, and Countess of Munster Trust. Beyond the Guildhall, he teaches at Eton College and Pro Corda international courses. Notable performances include concerto works by Dvořák, Elgar, and Schumann, alongside recitals at Brighton Festival and Sofia, Bulgaria. He plays a 1716 Carolo Tononi cello and a John Dodds bow from the 1851 Great Exhibition.
