His research emphasizes Roman urbanism, social history, and material culture with fieldwork at Morea, Cosa, Naples, and Rome. Key teaching areas include Pompeii, Roman architecture, and ancient technology, reflected in courses like CC 307D (Introduction to Roman Archaeology) and CC 340 (Pompeii).
