Quinton D. Lucas is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Kansas School of Law since 2012. He specializes in contracts, securities regulation, and federal administrative law. Additionally, he serves as Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, and previously was a City Council member, focusing on planning, economic development, and infrastructure. Lucas holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School (2009) and an A.B. from Washington University in St. Louis (2006). He clerked for Judge Duane Benton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit before entering private practice in commercial litigation and later academia.
