Dr. QueeLim Ch'ng is an Associate Professor in Systems Biology and Neuroscience at King's College London, affiliated with the School of Neuroscience and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. Their research focuses on neuroendocrine regulation of aging and physiology using C. elegans as a model system. Key interests include how environmental and nutritional cues are processed by neuroendocrine circuits to influence lifespan and other physiological processes.
Education: PhD in Cell Migration and Pattern Formation from University of California, San Francisco (2001); BA from Princeton University (1995).
Research Highlights: Explores insulin/IGF signaling pathways, neural circuit function in aging, and high-throughput imaging techniques. Recent work includes the BBSRC-funded study on allele-biased gene expression and the development of open-source platforms for analyzing worm behavior data.
Awards: BBSRC Pioneer Award (2023), Jane Coffin Childs Fellowship (2002), RCUK Fellowship (2007).
Grants & Projects: Leads projects on neuroendocrine networks in aging (Leverhulme Trust), brain-body communication (Leverhulme Trust), and dietary restriction models (BBSRC).
