معرفی
Quanren Zeng is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing processes, surface engineering, biomedical materials, laser technology, and tribology. He is actively involved in interdisciplinary research centers including The Foundry: Centre for Digital, Manufacturing & Design, IAAPS, and the Centre for Integrated Materials, Processes & Structures (IMPS).
He holds a fellowship as Principal Investigator for a Commercialisation & Innovation project sponsored by SETSquared Partnership (2024–2025) and received the Impact and Knowledge Exchange Fellowship and Flexi Impact Funding in 2025. His work emphasizes experimental validation and numerical modeling, with recent studies exploring scratch-induced deformation in Ti-6Al-4V alloys, bacterial adhesion on bio-ceramic implants, and femtosecond laser ablation/oxidation of advanced materials.
- Principal Investigator for COMMERCIALISATION & INNOVATION FELLOWShip sponsered by SETSquared Partnership (2024–2025)
- Accepting doctoral students in his field
- Associate Editor for Nanotechnolog and precision engineering (Journal) (2024–2026)
Zeng’s research bridges mechanical engineering and materials science, addressing challenges in biomedical applications, energy systems, and precision manufacturing.
