Qiujie “Angie” Zheng is an Associate Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Maine’s Maine Business School. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and M.S. in Statistics from Washington State University, alongside degrees from Nankai University in China. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, food marketing, agricultural and aquaculture business, and sustainability. Prior roles include Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Senior Risk Analyst at JPMorgan Chase. Her work employs surveys and experiments to study consumer perceptions of food safety, novel technologies, and market dynamics, with a focus on China and Alaska’s food systems. Key contributions include studies on local food valuation, pandemic-era consumer behavior, and aquaculture market potential. Teaching expertise spans data analytics, strategic decision-making, and entrepreneurship.
