Dr. Qiping Fan is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Clemson University's College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences. She holds a DrPH from Texas A&M University (2023), an MS in Global Health from Duke University (2019), and a BS in Biotechnology from Wuhan University (2017).
Her research focuses on

- racial/ethnic health inequities
- social determinants of health
- machine learning applications in public health
Recent publications examine preterm birth risks in urban environments, HIV testing disparities, cervical cancer screening in the Philippines, and AI-powered dementia caregiving tools.
