Professor Qihai Huang is a Professor and School Strategic Lead Research at the Huddersfield Business School, part of the University of Huddersfield's School of Business, Education and Law. He also contributes to the Centre for Sustainability, Responsibility, Governance and Ethics. Previously, he held roles including Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management at Keele University and Head of Department at Lancaster University's Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Huang earned a Sociology degree from Peking University (Distinction), an MSc (Chevening Fellowship) and PhD from the University of Bristol.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship in SMEs, employee behavior, political connections, and CSR, with particular attention to China's institutional environment. Notable contributions include work on expatriate cross-cultural adjustment, migrant labor psychology, and rural senior entrepreneurship barriers.
