Qiang Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health at Emory University, with adjunct appointments in the Molecular and Systems Pharmacology Program (Emory School of Medicine) and the BioEngineering Graduate Program (Georgia Tech). His research employs computational systems biology to model disruptions in cellular pathways caused by environmental chemicals, drugs, and dietary factors, focusing on diabetes, endocrine disruption, oxidative stress, reproductive health, and toxicokinetics.
Education:
MD from Harbin Medical University
PhD from the University of Connecticut
Research Interests: Dr. Zhang investigates dose-response relationships, circadian biology, immune dysregulation, and ovarian follicle dynamics using in vitro, in vivo, and computational models. His work integrates toxicology with systems biology to predict health risks from environmental exposures.
Publication Trends: Recent articles (2023–2025) emphasize mechanistic studies on endocrine disruptors, PFAS toxicity, NRF2 signaling, reproductive toxicology, and multiscale computational frameworks, reflecting a focus on molecular-to-organismal health impacts.
