Dr. Qiang Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Alabama, specializing in electrochemical engineering for advanced materials and quantum applications. His research focuses on developing novel electrodeposition methods for superconducting films, semiconductor interconnects, and renewable energy materials.
Education:

Current research interests include electrochemical fabrication processes for quantum materials, superconducting film synthesis, numerical simulation of electrochemical deposition, and alternative metals for semiconductor interconnects. His Electrochemical Engineering for Materials Lab combines experimental and computational approaches to solve critical problems in electronics and energy sectors.
Recent publications highlight his work on water-in-salt electrolytes, alloy electrodeposition, and microfluidic mass transport optimization. His group has secured NSF CAREER funding (2020) for superconductor fabrication research.
