Pål Stenmark is a Professor of Biochemistry and Structural Biology at Stockholm University and a LINXS Fellow specializing in Integrative Pharmacology and Drug Discovery. He serves as an IPDD Working Group 1 Member focused on Structure-based drug design within the LINXS International Centre for X-ray and Neutron Science.
His research centers on two critical biomedical domains:
- Structural-based drug design targeting novel cancer pathways in nucleotide metabolism
- Investigating Botulinum neurotoxins' dual nature as both lethal agents and therapeutic tools for medical applications
Professor Stenmark actively contributes to LINXS initiatives including Young Researchers programs and cross-disciplinary projects leveraging advanced imaging technologies for pharmacological discovery.
