معرفی
Pär Nordlund is a Professor at the Department of Oncology-Pathology, Karolinska Institutet. His research focuses on understanding cancer processes through protein-centric strategies, particularly using the Cellular Thermal Shift Assay (CETSA). CETSA enables in situ monitoring of protein-drug interactions and has been applied to study cancer mechanisms, drug resistance, and target engagement. Nordlund's lab explores protein interactions in cancer cells, tumor-associated immune cells, and immune-oncology processes to identify novel drug targets and biomarkers for personalized therapy. Key projects include developing CETSA as a tool for drug discovery and studying resistance mechanisms to improve cancer treatments.
- Research Interests: Proteomics, cancer biology, drug target validation, immune-oncology, biomarker development.
- Grants: Funding from Barncancerfonden, Cancerfonden, Knut och Alice Wallenberg Foundation, and the Swedish Research Council.
His work bridges basic science and clinical applications, aiming to translate proteomic insights into clinical biomarkers and therapeutic strategies. The group collaborates on projects involving drug resistance, immune-tumor interactions, and advanced CETSA methodologies.
