معرفی
Maria Kasper is an Associate Professor at the Karolinska Institutet, leading research at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology. Her work focuses on skin biology, stem cell dynamics, and epithelial regeneration, utilizing cutting-edge single-cell transcriptomics and spatial mapping techniques.
- Research: Investigates spatiotemporal mechanisms in skin homeostasis, wound healing, and cancer initiation. Key projects include molecular atlases of skin development, stem cell plasticity, and tumor-immune microenvironment interactions.
- Teaching: Extensive experience in biomedicine education, including coordination of the Applied Communication in Biomedicine master’s course and lectures on wound healing and mouse models.
- Collaborations: Serves as a coordinator for the Human Cell Atlas skin bionetwork, fostering international data standardization.
Scientific Awards: Recognized with the Swedish Cancer Society Young Investigator Award, Ragnar Söderberg Fellowship, and LEO Gold Award for contributions to skin and stem cell research.
- Grants: Funded by the Swedish Research Council, Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, and the LEO Foundation, among others.
- Labs: The Kasper Lab at Biomedicum, Karolinska Institutet, integrates murine and human skin models, computational biology, and clinical collaborations.
