Prue Morgan is a Professor of Physiotherapy at Monash University's School of Primary Health Care, where she previously served as Head of the Physiotherapy Department from 2011 to 2024. Her research focuses on neurological physiotherapy, falls prevention, cerebral palsy, and motor skill acquisition. She holds a PhD in Physiotherapy from Monash University (2014), complemented by advanced degrees in neurosciences and clinical research from La Trobe University and a BAppSc in Physiotherapy from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences.
She is actively involved in teaching, including roles as Chief Examiner for Monash's Master of Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice and lecturer in multiple undergraduate units (PTY2042, PTY3051, PTY5108). Her external roles include consultancy with World Physiotherapy and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
Her research outputs span over 120 peer-reviewed articles, with recent work addressing health literacy in cerebral palsy patients, feasibility of motorized cycling for non-ambulant adults, and falls prevention strategies. She has secured grants for projects like the 'Contemporary practice horizon scanning program' (2022) and collaborates internationally on disability care initiatives. Awards include the Churchill Fellowship (2017) and Vice-Chancellor's Education Excellence Award (2021).
