Keith Hill is a Professor (Research) at Monash University and currently the Ageing Stream Lead for the Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living (RAIL) Research Centre. Previously, he served as the inaugural Director of RAIL (2019-2024), Head of Curtin University's School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science (6.5 years), and Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor of Curtin's Faculty of Health Sciences. He is a physiotherapist with expertise in falls prevention, exercise for older adults, and rehabilitation. His career includes over 400 peer-reviewed publications (121 in the past 5 years) and 131 grants totaling $48.5M. He currently supervises 7 PhD students (3 international).

Research Interests: Falls prevention, exercise for older adults, ageing well, rehabilitation, and carer health. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health, equity, and sustainable cities.
Recent Projects: Current projects include falls risk in intellectual disability, caregiver support, and dementia rehabilitation interventions. Notable funders include NHMRC and Dementia Australia.
Awards: Recipient of the Australian Physiotherapy Association WA Presidents Award (2018), Asia Oceania Chairman’s Award (2019), and multiple equity/diversity awards (2024).
Grants & Advising: Over $48.5M in grants (including $24.5M in last 5 years). Supervised 29 PhD completions and currently mentors 7 students.
Labs/Teams: Leads the RAIL Research Centre's Ageing stream, collaborating on national and international projects in gerontology and rehabilitation.
