Prerna Dhoop is an Assistant Professor at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, India, and a PhD candidate at King’s College London (KCL). She teaches Constitutional Law, Legal Methods, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and LGBTQI+ Rights Impact Litigation. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Hyderabad.

Pioneered efforts to secure self-identification rights for India’s transgender community, leading to policy changes in voter identity cards.
