Claudia Aradau is Professor of International Politics at King's College London's Department of War Studies. Awarded the 2023 Distinguished Scholar Award by the International Studies Association, she leads the ERC project SECURITY FLOWS on digital border governance.
Her research analyzes algorithmic governance, mass surveillance, and border security infrastructures. The monograph Algorithmic Reason (Oxford 2022) received the 2023 Best Book Award from ISA's STAIR section. Current work examines knowledge politics in asylum data systems and digital humanitarianism.
Editorial roles include Radical Philosophy collective and Security Dialogue. Teaching covers 'Critical Security Studies' and 'Risk in Global Politics'. Laboratory resources include KingsCAT social media analysis toolkit.
