Preeti Dagar is a Lecturer in Education Policy at the University of Glasgow's School of Education, holding a dual PhD in Adult Education and Urban Studies. She serves as Deputy Director of Post Graduate Researchers within the School. Her academic work intersects education policy, refugee integration, and marginalized populations in the Global South.
Education: PhD in Adult Education & Urban Studies (University of Glasgow, 2021), MSc in International Master in Adult Education for Social Change (Erasmus Mundus, 2018), and prior work with indigenous groups in India and international organizations like UNIDO and UNESCO.
Research focuses on skills development for refugees, postcolonial education frameworks, and gender equity. Key projects include the ESRC-funded 'Gendered Journeys' study on STEM students in India/Rwanda/UK and the GCRF-funded SHLC project analyzing urban education-health linkages in Africa/Asia.
Grants include University of Glasgow funding for decolonizing higher education research (2023-), GCRF-SHLC PhD scholarship (2018-2021), and an Erasmus Mundus scholarship (2016-2018).
