Predrag Krstić serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade, and concurrently holds a PhD Professor position at the Faculty of Media and Communications, Singidunum University, Belgrade. His academic trajectory bridges critical philosophy, social theory, and educational research within Serbia's premier philosophical institutions.
His educational foundation was established at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Philosophy, where he completed both undergraduate studies and doctoral training in Philosophy. This institutional grounding shaped his transition from thirteen years of secondary school philosophy teaching to advanced research roles.
Krstić's intellectual work centers on critical theory, philosophical anthropology, and Enlightenment philosophy, with expanding focus on contemporary educational theory, aesthetics, and popular culture. He examines how radical textual practices intersect with social critique, particularly through posthumanist lenses and emancipatory educational frameworks. His scholarship consistently challenges hierarchical structures in knowledge production while exploring the political dimensions of literary and cultural forms.
Recent publications reveal a concentrated engagement with education-emancipation dynamics, Holocaust studies, and posthumanist pedagogy. His 2023-2024 output demonstrates methodological fluidity across philosophical analysis, literary criticism, and social theory, frequently connecting historical Enlightenment concepts to contemporary crises. The recurring theme of educational transformation—whether through travel metaphors, android thought experiments, or Adornian critiques—forms the backbone of his current research trajectory.
With seventeen scholarly books and extensive editorial contributions including co-edited volumes on emancipation and posthumanism, Krstić maintains dual creative-academic productivity as both novelist and poet. His institutional presence spans University of Belgrade's research infrastructure and Singidunum University's media-focused academic environment, facilitating cross-disciplinary dialogue between philosophy, education, and cultural studies.
