معرفی
Predoi Mihai Valentin is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Department of Mechanics, Faculty of Biotechnical Engineering Systems, National Science and Technology University POLITEHNICA Bucharest. He has held this position since 2004, following a career progression from Assistant (1989-1998) to Lecturer (1998-2004) and Associate Professor (1998-2004).
Education:
- Diploma in Aeronautics Engineering, Aircraft Engines (1984, U.P.B.)
- Specialization in Vibrations and Mechanical Waves in Plates (1991-1992, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris)
- Ph.D. in Mechanics (1998, U.P.B.)
- Docteur en Mécanique (1998, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris)
Research Interests focus on mechanical vibrations, ultrasonic wave propagation in layered structures, and numerical modeling of mechanical systems. His work combines theoretical analysis with practical applications, particularly in aerospace and structural engineering.
Scientific Trends include advanced vibration analysis techniques, guided wave propagation for non-destructive testing, and development of specialized software tools for mechanical dynamics simulation. His publications emphasize both experimental validation and computational modeling.
Scientific Awards:
- Médaille étrangère de la Société Française d’Acoustique (2008)
Grants & Leadership: Managed 14 national research projects, participated in 38 national and 6 international research teams. Served as CNCSIS expert evaluator since 2006.
Professional Memberships: Active member of Acoustical Society of America (2006-), INCE-Europe (2001-), Romanian Acoustical Society (1996-, Scientific Secretary 1998-2003), IEEE (2010-2017), ARTENS (2010-2017), and International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (2004-2008).
