Precious Arao

Precious Arao is a Lecturer at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and Kapiʻolani Community College, specializing in teaching Filipino as a second language and Philippine culture courses. She holds a Master of Arts in Second Language Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Philippine Language and Literature, both from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Her research focuses on heritage language learners, language identity, and second language writing, particularly examining how Filipino American identity influences language learning and writing in classroom settings.
