Prasenjit Duara is the Oscar L. Tang Family Distinguished Professor of East Asian Studies and Professor of History at Duke University. He holds leadership roles as Director of the Asian/Pacific Studies Institute and previously served at the University of Chicago and National University of Singapore. Educated in India and the US, his expertise spans modern Chinese history, transnationalism, and global modernity.
