Pradipta Ghosh

Pradipta Ghosh is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She holds multiple leadership positions including Founding Co-Director of the Consortium for Cell Inspired Systems Engineering (ConCISE), Founding Director of the Agilent Center of Excellence in Cellular Intelligence, Founding Director of the Center for Precision Computational Systems Network, and Founding Director of the UC San Diego HUMANOID Center of Research Excellence and Institute for Network Medicine.

Dr. Ghosh's research focuses on the intersection of cellular and molecular medicine, gastroenterology, and network biology. Her work explores G protein signaling pathways, macrophage polarization in inflammatory conditions, and the development of precision therapeutics for inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal cancers. She employs computational approaches to understand biological systems and has pioneered research on cellular intelligence and network-based therapeutics.

Her recent publications reveal a strong emphasis on applying systems biology approaches to gastrointestinal diseases, with particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer.
