Pow Jun Kai

Dr Pow Jun Kai serves as Lecturer in Arts Management at LASALLE College of the Arts, bringing expertise from his PhD in Historical Musicology and MA in Critical Methodologies (both from King's College London), alongside a BA in Music from the University of Birmingham.

Dr Pow's research centers on digital humanities and cultural history, with particular emphasis on gender dynamics, media representations, and sustainability within modern Malayan and Indonesian cultures—including diaspora communities across Europe and the Caribbean. His interdisciplinary work bridges literary, visual, and performing arts with human resource management perspectives to examine cultural preservation.

His scholarly contributions include editing the special issue "Rethinking Schoenberg" for the European Journal of Musicology and co-editing "Queer Singapore" (Hong Kong University Press) and "Singapore Soundscape" (National Library Board), with additional publications appearing in South East Asia Research, Trans Asia Photography, and TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly.
