Poppy Budworth is an Honorary Research Associate in the Department of Geography at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED). Her research focuses on Geographies of Disability, Everyday Life, and Youth, employing feminist and participatory methodologies. She holds an MSc in Sociological Research (2020) and a BA in Geography (2019), both from The University of Manchester.
Her doctoral research examines the lived experiences of young ostomates in the UK, exploring how ostomy management influences spatial negotiations, stigma, and identity. This ESRC-funded CASE Studentship partners with GetYourBellyOut and Manchester University. Her work emphasizes inclusive research practices, as seen in her 2023 article on flexible methodologies for disabled/chronically ill participants.
