Dr. Popi Sotiriadou is an Associate Professor of Sport Management at Griffith University and a foundational member of the Sport and Gender Equity @ Griffith research hub. She serves as a Senior Fellow with the Higher Education Academy and has won national and university-level teaching awards.
Her research focuses on sport development, gender equity, and the societal impact of high-performance sport. Key projects include:
- Collaboration with Logan City Council to enhance women's social capital through sport participation
- Research with Gold Coast Titans' Leagueability program for disability inclusion
- Two initiatives for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games: volunteer engagement and inclusive participation strategies
