Pontus Eriksson is an Associate Researcher at Lund University Cancer Centre (LUCC), focusing on urothelial cancer genomics and molecular classification. His work integrates bioinformatics, transcriptomics, and clinical data to improve bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment strategies. Key projects include the development of the LundTax classification algorithm and collaborations on metastasis patterns and immune microenvironment analysis. He has contributed to over 49 peer-reviewed publications and supervised research activities in bladder cancer biology.
Research Interests: Molecular subtyping of bladder cancer, genomic profiling, immune response characterization, and translational oncology. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
- Projects: Gene expression-based classification of urothelial carcinoma for clinical applications (2022–2023).
- Activities: Organized conferences such as the 7th Swedish Cancer Research Meeting (2025) and participated in initiatives like the UroCAN clinical translation project.
Publications highlight advancements in bladder cancer subtyping, metastasis dynamics, and biomarker discovery. Collaborations span international cohorts to validate molecular classification systems.
