Piotr Macha

Piotr Macha is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arts in Poznań, affiliated with the Faculty of Artistic Education and Curating, and the Animation and Intermedia program. He combines diverse media such as drawing, curatorial practices, poetry, analog film, and sound installations in his practice.

• Education: Graduate of Painting and Animation & Intermedia at the University of Arts in Poznań.

Research Interests: Focus on avant-garde film, curating, and experimental music, with a multidisciplinary approach spanning literature and intermedia art. His work avoids monomania, blending artistic and theoretical discourses.

Exhibitions & Curatorial Projects: Selected group exhibitions include NEO-DADA. IRONY. CONTESTATION (2022) and Life. Instructions (2017). Solo shows include JESUS WAS BORN 6–4 YEARS BEFORE CHRIST (2021). Co-curated projects like Why We Don't Send Artists to the Moon? (2019) highlight his curatorial engagement.

Additional Activities: Supervises the UAP Gallery Na Wysokim Poziomie, collaborates on feature films (e.g., Stabat Mater Dolorosa), and creates music videos for Polish artists.
