Piotr Kurka is a Polish artist and full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where he leads the Studio of Intermedia Activities and Photography. Born in 1958 in Poznań, he graduated from the painting studio of Prof. Jerzy Kałucki in 1982. His artistic practice spans sculpture, photography, drawing, experimental films, and large-format spatial arrangements. He co-founded the influential art group Koło Klipsa and has participated in over 100 group exhibitions and 35 solo exhibitions globally.
