Dr. Pinar Ozturk is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Technology at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, Duquesne University. She specializes in teaching Information Systems core courses and Data for Decision Making. Her research focuses on computer-supported cooperative work, crowdsourcing dynamics, and online collaboration patterns. Dr. Ozturk holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Stevens Institute of Technology, an MBA and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hartford, and a B.S. from the University of Istanbul.
Key research interests include analyzing collective behavior in mass collaboration systems, social media platforms, and digital health communities. Her work bridges technology-mediated collaboration with societal challenges, particularly in health and innovation contexts.
