Dr. Kathleen S. Hartzel is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Technology at Duquesne University's Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, where she also directs the M.S. in Analytics and Information Management program. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. from Pennsylvania State University, and a B.S. from Bloomsburg University.
Her research explores how technology supports collaboration in organizations and groups, with a focus on social responsibility, supply chain dynamics, and demand planning. Notable areas include the ethical implications of e-commerce, privacy in digital advertising, and the role of technology in stakeholder decision-making.
Hartzel holds certifications including CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), and CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management). Her work bridges academic research and industry needs, emphasizing practical applications of analytics and project management principles.
