Pilar Howell is an Instructor in the Department of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures at Auburn University's College of Liberal Arts. She teaches Spanish language courses and serves as an ambassador for her hometown of Sevilla, Spain.

Research Interests focus on Spanish language pedagogy and Hispanic cultural studies, informed by her academic background in communications sciences and international relations.

She previously worked as a general manager in a PR and marketing company for ten years before joining Auburn in 2011. Member of Sigma Delta Phi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. Office hours available by appointment at 3319 Haley Center.
